Weekend Report: July 30 & 31

This weekend had some typical late summer weather, warm and humid and thunderstorms.  Saturday proved to be the better of the two days with lots of cu's and some moderate lift.  A few of the private ships did some cross country work with one member getting as far as Cooperstown.  Sunday looked promising but the t-storms built quickly in the ealry afternoon and washed out the day.  A few instructional flights were conducted but most of the members who rigged their gliders were taking them apart soon after while never having taken them to the launch line.

The Pawnee is nearly ready to get back to work.  One note for all members:  Do not pull or push on the new prop.  The new style prop is a composite type and should never be used for ground handling the Pawnee.

There will be a mandatory tow pilot meeting on Saturdy, August 6 at 10am.

The the weeds and grass in the ditch in front of the office parking lot needs to be trimmed.  Please lend a hand working on this necessary chore during your next visit to the airport.

See you at the airport.
